Mitsubishi has plans for launching multiple SUVs by the year 2020, and the Mistubishi eX is one of them.
Mitsubishi first unveiled its eX concept at last year’s Tokyo auto show and again at the 2016 Geneva auto show. The all-electric eX crossover has officially received the green light to move forward, and is slated for production sometime in the next four years.
This new SUV will have a jaw-dropping range of 250 miles, putting it way above current EVs like the Nissan Leaf, and still above the upcoming Chevrolet Bolt, which is expected to have 200 miles of range.
The eX will be about the same size as the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, so it’ll have the benefits of a crossover while still remaining nimble.
“Full electric power is very much part of Mitsubishi’s future,” said Lance Bradley, of UK Mitsubishi. And he’s not lying. Mitsubishi’s current US lineup includes the all-electric i-Miev. The future Outlander plug-in hybrid and the eX concept are sure to impress.
Designed with the everyday commuter in mind, the eX will give consumers technology and efficiency. Keep an eye out for the new eX in the next few years!
