Chicago is making great progress in going green, evidenced by the many city gardens and electric vehicles. Eventually your car will need to be charged and Chicago isn’t the easiest city to navigate, even if you’re behind the wheel of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Need some help finding a spot to charge your car in Chicago? Here’s the location of several electric vehicle charging stations from us here at Schaumburg Mitsubishi.
- Soldier Field – Ideal for baseball fans and aquarium visitors, soldier field features three electric vehicle charging stations for your convenience. Located in the North Parking Garage, you can leave your car to charge while you enjoy a leisurely day of relaxation or activity.
- Michigan Avenue – A part of the Magnificent Mile shopping district, 900 North Michigan’s “Plug and Shop” allows you to give your car some energy while you spend time perusing the stores. The ChargePoint charging stations are located inside the self-park garage. While it does have a small parking fee, making sure your car doesn’t run out of juice is vital to a fun day in Chicago.
- Convenience Stores – Believe it or not, Chicago’s grocery stores are taking initiative and setting up charging stations at their locations. Whole Foods has been actively adding stations since 2010. Other charging stations are located at the Gold Coast and Lincoln Park.
