The holiday season in Chicago is truly limitless, with a seemingly unending list of events from festivals to parades to holiday plays taking place all throughout the winter months, even pushing into January.
Looking for some ideas or to start a family tradition? Here are a few Chicago holiday events to explore:
ZooLights – There’s only one thing that can make the Lincoln Park Zoo even better than it is on a daily basis, and that’s ZooLights. The gorgeous holiday lights are just the beginning of this event, which also includes free goodies, ice skating, and more.
Chi-Town Rising – To burst into the New Year, why not check out Chi-Town Rising, Chicago’s own New Year’s Eve event? Both the band Chicago and American Authors are scheduled to perform, and the event will be broadcast on live television, too.
Winter WonderFest – This annual carnival at Navy Pier runs through about a week of January, allowing the holiday merriment to continue onward, via Winter WonderFest. A snow tubing hill, carnival rides, and more are sure to please.
Christkindlmarket – If you are looking for a truly magical way to spend your days leading up to Christmas, check out Christkindlmarket, inspired by the open-air markets of Germany. It’s also a great place to buy presents!
And of course – what better way to mark the holiday than to get a brand new car? Consider paying us a visit anytime, here at Schaumburg Mitsubishi, where we would be happy to set you up on a test drive!
