2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has seen its fair share of time in the spotlight over the past few months. The upcoming crossover is set to makes its official market debut later this year. In preparation for its impending release, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has been spotted undergoing testing in the Land Down Under.

The all-new model is currently undergoing what seems to be ride comfortability and control tests in Australia. Specifically, engineers are currently testing the steering calibration, noise vibration, suspension, and powertrain.

Australia has been confirmed as a major market for the upcoming compact SUV. As such, Mitsubishi is performing extensive testing to meet and exceed customer expectations. If all goes well, it’s likely many of the specifications will make their way to North America as well.

The Australian Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comes with two available engines: a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine. The upcoming model will also feature all-wheel drive.

The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will find its spot between the Mitsubishi Outlander and Outlander Sport. Expect to see the upcoming model in dealership showrooms and on roadways near you later this year.

We here at Schaumburg Mitsubishi can’t wait to see the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross in person.
