Mitsubishi is making strides in the American market and the Automotive Science Group, a leading research company, is taking notes. The Japanese carmaker recently received multiple Automotive Science Group awards, showing that Mitsubishi offers some of the best, most eco-friendly performance in the industry.
Not only was the Mitsubishi brand recognized as the “Best All-Around Performance Brand” and “Best Economic Performance Brand,” but the 2018 Mirage also earned its own accolades. It was awarded for “Best Economic Performance” and included on a list of “Best 5 All-Around Performance” vehicles.
This is the second time the Mirage has been given the “Best Economic Performance” award. The research group found that the Mirage “holds the smallest life-cycle carbon footprint of any conventional powertrain at 301 grams CO2-e per mile driven life-time.” This subcompact car also has the “lowest cost of ownership and the best economic performance of any model year 2018 car in the North American market.” To learn more about the Mirage’s efficiency and affordability, visit us at Schaumburg Mitsubishi.
The Automotive Science Group noted Mitsubishi’s ability to excel in three areas — environmental, social, and economic performance. It decided on the winners from a field of 33 vehicle companies and found that Mitsubishi outperformed the average brand by 16 percentage points.
