2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Gets Upgraded All-Electric Range, Power

2018 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

In many ways, the future of the automotive industry is all about going green. With an increasing number of eco-friendly vehicles joining carmakers’ lineups, the competition is getting fierce. Mitsubishi isn’t worried, though, thanks to some upgrades for the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.

The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV features a 13.8 kWh battery pack that has an all-electric range of 28 miles. This is an increase from the 2018 model’s 22-mile all-electric range. With this new battery, the top speed in electric mode can now reach 84 mph, which is a 6 mph increase from last year.

The 2019 Outlander PHEV electric motor will also increase its output by 10 percent, putting out 95 horsepower all on its own. This means that the PHEV model’s total powertrain output will rise to 135 horsepower.

For the 2019 model year, the Outlander PHEV features upgrades inside the cabin, too. New Sport and Snow modes will offer more control behind the wheel, while leather upholstery in the front and additional climate control vents in the second row ensures that all passengers are comfortable, no matter where they’re sitting.

There’s no word yet on when the 2019 Outlander PHEV will be available here in the U.S. Once it arrives, you can be sure to find it in our showroom here at Schaumburg Mitsubishi.
